February Bingo - 20 February

End of an Era

it was a full house of cowboys and cowgirls for a final Bingo evening  after 11 years and 85 games with Russell Goodyear as our brilliant Supporters Club  organiser and caller. We all had great fun with a highest ever final prize to round off the evening.  

In the interval, Russell expressed thanks and made presentations to all the individuals who have helped him make them such a success over the years. 

Juliet Gaule, on behalf of bingo players past and present, thanked Russell and his family for all their hard work, both for their ‘front of house‘ presence but also for all the time spent in background preparation and setup,  making the events so enjoyable and creating such a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, whether Langley Valer or visitor from further afield.

Her speech ended with ‘These were the GOOD YEARS,’.

He’ll be a really hard act to follow but we are all hoping that Bingo evenings will be able to continue in the future.
