The Village Hall Committee started to organise a sing along Carol session for Christmas Eve afternoon in the Church with mulled wine and mince pies in the hall afterwards as a way to get neighbours together as it seemed the Church wasn't planning anything. This developed into more of a service as the representatives of the Church became involved and it turned out to be a lovely afternoon with the Church packed to overflowing and the children involved in bringing the characters to the crib as Epsom College Chaplain Andrew Haviland and Janet Brooker led us through the service and Raymond Holden played the organ. There are plans for a return to the Christingle Service next year. Mulled wine was enjoyed by many after the service and generous donations were divided between the Chuch and the Village Hall Association.
